Raw Broccoli Arancini Balls

Do you still crave tasty, gooey, yummy Arancini balls, but don’t want all that cooked rice, cheese and other nasties? You have just got to try this. Created by another of our amazing Raw Vegan Chef students, Yasea Love, it is full of nutrition, tastes amazing, and satisfies those cravings!

Some of the ingredients are super foods. Hey, in our books, they all are! But just to name a few:

Hemp Seeds:

The nutritional composition of a hemp seed is incredible! In its perfect organic natural state, hemp seed is considered by many to be the safest, most digestible, balanced, natural, and complete source of protein, amino acids, and essential fats found anywhere in nature (keep in mind in Australia, we can only recommend Hemp seed for external use.)

Broccoli:

Broccoli is known for its ability to help detox the body, as the phytonutrients in it support each step of the detox process, including activation, neutralization, and elimination of unwanted contaminants. Broccoli also helps us use vitamin D. It has ample supplies of vitamins K and A (an unusually strong combination of both vitamins), and help keep our vitamin D metabolism in balance.

Sunflower Seeds:

Sunflower seeds are an excellent source of vitamin E, the body’s primary fat-soluble antioxidant. Sunflower seeds’ phytosterols lower cholesterol. Phytosterols are compounds found in plants that have a chemical structure very similar to cholesterol, and when present in the diet in sufficient amounts, are believed to reduce blood levels of cholesterol, enhance the immune response, and decrease risk of certain cancers. Who would have thought the humble sunflower seed could do all that?

So, why settle for a food that has negative nutrition, when you can create this delight and get all these amazing benefits. We love this dish and know you will too!

 • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds (soaked)
 • 1/4 red onion chopped
 • 1 clove garlic minced
 • 3 Tbsp cold pressed Olive oil
 • 2 Tbsp fresh Parsley chopped
 • 1/2 tsp himalayan salt
 • 1/4 tsp grounded pepper
 • 1/4 tsp chilli flakes
 • Cashew Cheese dip
 • 1 cup cashews soaked drained
 • 1/2 cup filtered water

 • 1 tsp himalayan salt
 • grounded pepper to desire
Instructions
Broccoli Bliss balls method:
 1. Place all ingredients in a processor and blend until well mixed.
 2. Transfer mixture into a bowl.
 3. Scoop out a spoonful, roll into a ball with hands.
 4. Repeat until you have used all the mix.
 5. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
 6. This can be served with a little salad, or with sauce of your taste, or add into a pasta dish. These are a great protein hit, a great blood purifier, and loads of fiber as well.
 7. My addition to these great balls is, making the cashew cheese, making an insert in the middle of the ball, and filling with a cashew cheese dip. This creates a surprise and yummy additive .
 8. It’s a Raw Arancini ball!
Cashew Cheese Method:
 1. Place all ingredients in processor, except water, add a little at a time to a consistency smooth dip.
