Having spent the afternoon with my dear friends and colleagues, Scott Mathias and Clare Darwish, I was again in awe of their wisdom and commitment to health and their compassion for the planet. We of course spent most of the afternoon comparing stories of healing with raw food and ways we can make a difference to planetary issues. We discussed recipes and different techniques for food prep that maintained all the yummy goodness! I just love their philosophy and honest approach to peoples health. They firmly believe in self managed health care and reinforced my belief that nutrition is the key to healthy long life.
Scott generously shared a chat with me on camera and is definitely one of the countries experts on gut health. Honestly I thought I knew a fair bit about this subject, but it is quite amazing how much more there was to know, from depression to arthritis…. so much to learn still!
I discussed with Scott and Clare the frustration I sometimes feel when I think…we live in a time with more access to nutritional knowledge than ever before, we have more availability to varieties of foods than ever before, yet so many of us continue to treat our bodies like they are disposable items! We are as malnourished as we were in the dark ages just fatter!! Of course we were all on the same page with that one… At Scott Mathias Raw, Scott runs classes and has an amazing range of products designed to heal your intestinal tract and of course his book “understanding the divine gut” is a must read…
Have a watch of this fascinating video. Scott is a wealth of knowledge and I encourage you to explore this area of gut health further with him if you are truly wanting optimum health. Oh and by the way… please excuse my amateur editing…still a skill I am working on…. Make sure you check the recipe, we had it for lunch absolutely divine!!
