Smoked BBQ King Oyster Mushroom

Ingredients
  • 170 g/6 oz King Oyster Mushroom, washed and dried
  • 4 Dates
  • 3 Garlic, cloves
  • 4 Tomatoes, dried
  • 3 Tomatoes, vine ripe
  • 2.5 cm/1 in Ginger, root
  • ½ Sweet Onion
  • 1 TBSP Clove, ground
  • 1 TBSP Paprika, smoked
  • 1 TBSP Chili Powder, ground
  • 1 TBSP 24 Herbs & Spices Seasoning (Bragg Organic Sprinkle)
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • Pinch of Sea Salt, smoked
Instructions
  1. To make BBQ sauce, combine all ingredients except mushrooms in blender for 1 minute until smooth.
  2. Pour BBQ sauce over the mushrooms and let marinate for at least one hour.
  3. Carefully push mushrooms onto skewers.
  4. Sprinkle with smoked sea salt (optional).
Notes
Tip: This dish can also be warmed in the dehydrator for 6 hours on 40°C (104°F).

What makes this dish so special is the smoked BBQ sauce. The dates in the recipe makes it sweet, while the seasoning makes it savory.
