Kind Living Kitchen eBook

Unlike other healthy eating eBooks, Kind Living Kitchen is all about eating healthy only with raw foods. Authored by Lucy Walter, this eBook is based on everything that is important to her, health and animal welfare, and her commitment to making the planet a much better place. Lucy has a passion for animals and lives on 40 acres of pristine country land, which accommodates chooks, geese, cows and pigs.

Most of these animals have been rescued and now live a much better and promising life. One of Lucy’s biggest heartbreaks is the transition of factory farming into the rather brutal act it is today, and how it is significantly damaging to the overall welfare of the planet and these animals. She even included a dedicated “Recommended Reading“ section at the end of the eBook to raise awareness.

The Kind Living Kitchen eBook caters to both, busy as well as those who have a lot of time and an intrinsic passion for healthy eating, and offers a plethora of recipes and cooking tips. The primary goal of the Kind Living Kitchen eBook is to demonstrate that you can indulge in a raw food, or plant based diet, and still enjoy it just as you would a traditional diet, and just how easy it is as well.

Lucy is not just an author trying to convince you on the benefits of a raw food diet, but has first hand experience from running her own Kind Living Café, before she sold it to move into training and coaching. According to the popular travel portal – TripAdvisor, 90% of visitors highly recommended the Kind Living Café and only wish there was a similar offering in their area. When you get the King Living Kitchen eBook, based on the menu from the popular café, you will know the dishes are nutritionally balanced to ensure you receive a delicious raw food experience.

The idea behind the Kind Living Kitchen eBook

The next section of the eBook, “How it came to be, My Journey”, is all about Lucy’s personal experiences in different phases of her life. Lucy experienced some strange health issues at the age of 35, such as pain in her abdomen, arms and legs, migraines, and often visited her doctor for help who always gave her traditional pain relief medicine. Sometimes these issues were so unbearable that she had to visit medical professionals, who as a solution, operated and removed her gall bladder. That left her with one organ less and showing no signs of improvement.

The ultimate solution offered by medical professionals was that her excruciating pain was caused by her mind, so with that remedy you can just imagine the stress Lucy went through. Not the best news, but definitely some sort of closure, Lucy was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, which was the underlying cause of all her symptoms. She decided against drug therapy owing to previous not so good experiences, and started to rely on a cane more and more.

Lucy, being vegetarian for most of her life, began to explore alternative and herbal remedies for her health. Her research revealed to her that, even though animal products, such as milk and cheese, were part of her vegetarian diet at that time, they weren’t as good as they seemed. These animal products created an acidic environment in her body, which didn’t help her healing process. Her luck changed course for the better when she was introduced to raw, living food.

Supported by her husband, both decided to enjoy a 100% plant based diet – and after getting through the Kind Living Kitchen eBook, you will also realize it’s not so bad, but rather something you should’ve explored a while back. As part of her ongoing research, Lucy also discovered that the dairy industry is not any better than the beef industry, where young calves are snatched from their mothers and sent away to the slaughterhouse. After living exclusively on a raw food diet, Lucy’s health significantly improved. She experienced no symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis for long periods of time, and to a point where she went cane free.

Reasons for a Raw Food Diet

In the next section of the Kind Living Kitchen eBook, “Why a Raw and Plant Based Diet”, Lucy expresses how a plant based diet is full of interesting textures, flavors and experiences. She claimed the key to eating raw and plant based foods is to learn to use herbs, spices, and other natural flavors of foods, rather than milk based products, such as butter and cream.

During Lucy’s research into raw and vegan food, she discovered that you can’t be a certified chef in Australia unless you are willing to work with dairy and meat. She dreams of the day when this would change and focus would be directed towards nutrition, and not the use of dairy and meat ingredients. This section of the eBook also explains the benefits of a plant based diet, the importance of enzymes, how to get protein from a plant based diet, how to get vitamin B12, calcium intake from dairy food and misconceptions, and cleansing tips.

Basic Supplies

The next section, “Getting Started with Basic Supplies”, highlights some basic supplies to keep handy to make it easier to prepare raw dishes. These include different types of organic nuts, dried fruits, dried herbs, spices, seasoning, sweeteners, oils and vinegars, and other ingredients. She also lists some essential kitchen equipment to get started, and even a recipe on how to make good nut milk, sweet nut milk, and spice cacao nut milk, among others.

The last part of the eBook is a comprehensive list of recipes, including breakfast smoothies, green smoothies, soups, dressings and sauces, dips, transitional foods and deserts as well. The Kind Living Kitchen is a one of a kind eBook, and is a great read for those curious to improve their eating habits in a non-traditional way.
